My daughter needed alterations done to her formal dress (a strapless, full length ballgown). We went to Stylish Stitch based on the positive reviews and she exceeded our expectations.
We walked in off the street and Diana graciously pinned and measured the hem and bodice straight away. My daughter also wanted to alter the straight neckline of the bodice and add straps. Diana listened to my daughter's ideas and concerns, offered suggestions and reassured her about not needing straps because the dress would fit so much better once altered. She agreed to altering the neckline into a sweetheart shape.
When discussing the quote, Diana explained why she was charging what she did and promised to have it ready within the week.
When we came back to pick up the dress, it fitted perfectly and the smile on my daughter's face was priceless - it was exactly as she had imagined and wanted.
My daughter already looked beautiful but Diana's alterations helped her feel beautiful and confident as well.
The whole process was so easy from start to finish. We cannot recommend Diana and Stylish Stitch highly enough. Thankyou so much

Diana is an expert dress-maker, my wedding dress alterations were perfect. My dress had multiple layers and I needed the hem brought up. She unpicked and re-stitched the delicate lace around the hem too, it was fantastic work. In fact, she made my dress look even better on me than I ever thought it could! Rang Diana on a Tuesday morning with an urgent need to have a graduation gown altered by the Thursday and she was positive that she could help me out, and she did! Diana went above and beyond to make sure my dress was tailored to perfection, and being such a complicated dress to alter with beading, crotchet detail and feathers around the bottom, I was a bit hesitant to see how it would turn out but she exceeded my expectations and it was more than I could’ve imagined!
